Our mission: St. John's Lutheran School exists to educate each child in a Christ-centered environment for a life of service to God and man.
Welcome to St. John’s Sauers Lutheran School. We are located in a farm community near Seymour, Indiana. We are part of a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregation.
St. John’s Sauers Lutheran Church was organized in 1838. We are the oldest Lutheran congregation in Jackson County and the second oldest Missouri Synod congregation in Indiana. With the Lord's blessing and through the work of our members, we have grown from a handful of faithful Christians to a congregation of nearly 700 members. We also maintain an elementary school (pre-school, kindergarten, and grades 1 - 8) of approximately 120 students.
St. John’s has provided Christian education in Jackson County for over 165 years. We are accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and the Lutheran Church's National Lutheran School Accreditation Association.
Our school and its staff welcome you. Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about the Christ-centered education we provide.
If you are considering a new school for your children or a relocation to our area, we would love to have you be our guest.
