Happy New Year!

As we enter this winter season, we have several exciting things happening at school! Over Christmas Break, our new phone and intercom system was installed, using funds from a Secured School Safety Grant. We can now retrieve voicemail messages! Thank you for all your patience this fall as we were unable to retrieve voicemail messages.

We said goodbye to Erin Brooks serving as a teacher in December. She is pursuing a new career working in development and admissions at Trinity Lutheran high school. We wish her the best! For the second semester, Kasee Lambring and Ross Rieckers are covering the classes in grades 5 – 8. God has blessed us with faithful workers!

We received many year-end gifts to the Scholarship Granting Organization in December. Thank you! These donations will help ease the cost of attendance for students. If you are curious or have questions about the SGO, please contact the school office at 812-523-3131.

January 25 – 29 is National Lutheran Schools Week. This will be a fun-filled week with many activities planned as we celebrate the joys of Lutheran schools with teachers and students around the country.

Ashley Bohall has started a Parent Teacher Organization. If you are interested in assisting with National Lutheran Schools Week activities, please contact her.

Looking for a way to serve the school? We are in need of a cook, athletic director, and Kids Club supervisor. Additionally, the School Board is working to address several maintenance items around the school. If you are interested in one of the three paid positions or in volunteering, please contact the school office or a school board member.

In His Service,

Trisha Engel, Principal
